Starting your journey at Stockdale begins with understanding the admission process. Whether you're applying as a domestic or international student, we'll guide you through each step.
Admission to a course is based on meeting the published entry requirements. Applications are assessed fairly, consistently and in accordance with Stockdale's Admissions Policy and Procedures.

Eligibility for Admission
To be eligible for Admission to a course, an Applicant must:
- 1.
Satisfy all prerequisite requirements including the completion of Grade 12 or equivalent;
- 2.
Satisfy the English language proficiency level detailed on the course website;
- 3.
Satisfy any program specific criteria;
- 4.
Satisfy any higher and/or additional requirements for a specific course, as published on Stockdale's website or in the online brochure.

Stockdale does not discriminate on the grounds of religion, race, sex, disability or any other basis. Stockdale considers the Applicant's demonstrated academic ability that is relevant to the course requirements for which they are applying.
Stockdale provides resources to enable those from historically disadvantaged groups the opportunity to apply for Admission into its courses of study, with special consideration given to the recruitment, admission, participation and completion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Application
We're committed to making the application process as accessible, transparent and supportive as possible.
We welcome applications from students with diverse educational, cultural and professional backgrounds and are committed to providing equitable access to higher education. In particular, we support participation by students from under-represented groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, through fair and inclusive admission practices.
When you submit an application:
- You'll receive an email confirming that your application has been received
- If additional information or supporting documentation is required, we'll contact you by email and advise you of the timeframe for providing it
- Your application will be assessed in accordance with the Admissions Policy and Procedure
- Where applicable, we'll consider your eligibility for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer as part of the admissions process
- International applicants will also be assessed against the Genuine Student (GS) requirements and other applicable visa-related criteria.
To protect the integrity of the admissions process, the institute may verify the authenticity of documents submitted with your application. You may also be asked to present original documents during enrolment or orientation for verification purposes.
We'll keep you informed throughout the admissions process, including providing an indicative timeframe for the assessment of your application and notification of the outcome.
Offers and Rejections
Once your application has been assessed, we'll notify you of the outcome in writing.
Offer of Admission
If your application is successful, you'll receive a Letter of Offer outlining the details of your proposed enrolment. Your offer will include information such as:
- The course you've been offered
- The campus or study location (where applicable)
- The commencement date
- Tuition fees and any other applicable charges
- How to accept your offer
- Your Student Agreement
- Information about your rights and responsibilities as a student
- Links to relevant policies, including information about deferring, withdrawing, tuition protection and refunds where applicable.
You'll need to review your offer carefully and follow the instructions provided to accept your place.
Conditional Offers
In some circumstances, you may receive a conditional offer. This means you'll need to meet one or more conditions before your enrolment can be finalised.
Conditions may include providing additional documentation or meeting specific admission requirements. Any conditions will be clearly explained in your Letter of Offer, together with instructions on how to satisfy them.
Unsuccessful Applications
If your application is unsuccessful, we'll notify you in writing and explain the reasons for the decision where appropriate. Where suitable, we may also provide information about alternative study options.
If you believe your application has not been assessed correctly, you may request a review or lodge an appeal in accordance with the Complaints and Appeals Policy and Procedure.
